Why this page exists
Money trouble is a private thing, and you are about to tell us about yours. This page says exactly what we ask for, what we do with it, and what you can make us do about it afterwards. It covers the two forms on this website and nothing else.
The contact form
Name, email address, phone number and your message. That is all it takes, and a general question needs nothing more. You do not have to give us figures at this stage.
The application form
This one asks for more, because it opens your application. We need your name, date of birth, contact numbers, email address, marital status, roughly what you owe in total, the service you are after and how you would like us to reach you. Anything else you tell us about your finances is yours to volunteer, not something we require.
What we do with it
Contact details are used to reach you. Application details are used to assess your application and to come back to you with an answer. Nothing is used for anything else.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information and we do not hand it to anyone for their marketing. It goes further than us only where acting on your application requires it, or where the law obliges us. Both forms are screened by Cloudflare Turnstile so that bots cannot submit them, and your message travels to us by email.
How long we keep it
As long as the enquiry or the application needs, and no longer. Where the law sets a retention period for the records behind an insolvency matter, that period applies and we keep the file for it.
Your rights under POPIA
Ask us what we hold on you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it or delete it and we will, unless the law says we must keep it. If we handle your information badly you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
